1. Our Strict Return Policy
At Liquid Magic, we take pride in the quality and proper packaging of our stoep paint. Due to the nature of paint and chemical products, we maintain a strict policy of no returns, exchanges, or refunds for products purchased and delivered, unless the product is proven to be damaged or defective upon delivery.
We do not accept returns for reasons such as:
- Change of mind (buyer’s remorse).
- Incorrect colour selection by the customer.
- The product has been opened or partially used.
2. Damage on Delivery / Defective Product
If your Liquid Magic paint arrives damaged or is defective, you are entitled to a remedy under South African law (Consumer Protection Act).

What to do:
- Do Not Use: If a paint can is leaking or clearly damaged, seal it safely and do not open or use the contents.
- Contact Us Immediately: Email us at luqmaan@liquidmagic.com with your Order Number, a description of the damage, and attached clear photographic evidence of the damaged packaging and product(s).
- Collection: If the claim is approved, we will arrange for the collection of the damaged item(s) at our cost and risk. The item(s) must be securely sealed in their original packaging, if possible.
3. Refunds and Remedies for Damaged/Defective Goods
For items deemed damaged or defective upon inspection, you will have the choice between:
- Replacement: We will send you a replacement of the exact product(s) free of charge.
- Full Refund: We will issue a full refund for the price of the damaged/defective product(s) back to your original method of payment.
Refund Processing: Refunds are typically processed within 15 business days of the returned damaged goods being received and inspected by our team at 3 Edward Street, Pietermaritzburg.
4. Consumer Cooling-Off Right (Online Sales)
As an online store, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act) grants you a 7-day “cooling-off” period from the date of delivery during which you may cancel the transaction without reason or penalty.
- Condition: This right applies only if the product is returned unopened, unused, and in its original, saleable condition.
- Return Shipping: If you choose to return an item under this right, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
- Refund: We will process your refund within 30 days of receiving the cancellation notice and the returned goods.
